Saturday is when most of Vancouver's Cantonese classes run, and we list eight. Four are Chinese schools that run through the school year: Pui Ying Churchill (K1 to Grade 9, traditional characters, $380 per 15 weeks), True Light on Cambie Street (from K1, traditional characters, $310 per half year), Bethel Chinese School ($260 a term) and Vancouver Chinese Presbyterian Church ($700 a year, Cantonese and Mandarin). The other four are term-based classes, mostly for younger kids: CUE (two age groups, 3–6 and 7–9), Fun Cantonese Basic and Familogue. Fees and times are as we last saw them on each school's own website.

Pui Ying Churchill, True Light, CUE (both age groups) and Fun Cantonese Basic list traditional characters. Bethel, Vancouver Chinese Presbyterian and Familogue don't say, so ask them.
Pui Ying Churchill adds a 30-minute Mandarin segment, Bethel adds 15 minutes, and Vancouver Chinese Presbyterian runs a Cantonese and Mandarin class.
The Chinese schools run September to June, and Bethel's spring term starts in February. CUE uses a free waitlist. For the rest, ask about places mid-year.
